Staring straight in tomorrow's eye's,

What do you see?
Do you see the same as me?

1 litre of tears

i cried 1 litre of tears today! my sis claims that my eyes are swollen =X

it really is a rare phenomenon to have me tearing throughout the entire show. The show '1 litre of tears' is based on a real life story of a girl who contracted spinalcellebral atrophy at the age of 15. She was a fan of basketball, as well as a student with outstanding academics. Despite the harshness of reality, she embraced it with a bright smile, and wrote diaries of her decade long battle with her degenerating neurons. She passed away on May 23rd in 1988.
='( shes really a strong girl for her age. It is a progressive disease that will slowly disallow movements to be controlled by the central nervous system, yet the patient is in good mental health. it's really cruel isnt it. to know at the age of 15, that u've contracted an incurable disease. sigh. It really is a very touching life story. pls watch it if u have time! =)

High school musical 3's not as exciting as i thought it would be. its rather boring instead. okay maybe its cos the musical portions are a little too over. Not recommended to waste 8 bucks on that!

so happy to receive nette's msg that shes back! shoppppping tmr!=D i hope it will be a fruitful trip =)

I am such a slave of the tv! [screams]

i practically squandered my day away; the way couch potatoes do.
but that aside, kindaichi's really a good film! watched it several years back, but sudd felt like re-watching them. Its a detective show, starring an ingenious yet rather flirty young detective, kindaichi, and his playmate, Miyuko. i watched the ep on the wax museum series of murders. Gosh the wax figurines can give me shudders even when i knew that they are fake. =S

Uploaded many many photos onto facebook today. Didnt
know that iphoto can export photos to facebook this easily now. saved me lots of trouble =)

Okay now. i have a problem. How am i to spend the rest of my 7months? Had initially wanted to travel. Sigh. With the ongoing recession, it's increasingly cos
tly to travel abroad. the fixed costs(airport taxes, plane tickets..) are too high to begin with =( cutting the variable costs will still be deficient to negate the high fixed costs. [cries out loud] i really really really want to get out of my little well.

Anyway, went to cut my hair the day before. Heres a pic of my hair:

Nice nice nice? =D

it better be.

virtual tour

i've gone on a virtual educational vacation for the past few nights! if u're interested to join me, try the BBC country profiles section xD

i never knew so many countries exist before i went on the clicking spree.
Here are a few interesting ones:

Theres St Vincent and the Grenadines in S. America, where its citizens are called 'Vincentians'! Its a pity it suffers high unemployment rate. The govt has tried to reduce its reliance on banana exports after the European Union phased out preferential treatment to producers from former colonies. its really small, of only abt 389 sq km, and consists of a chain of islands.

Benin is located in Africa, otherwise known as a "slave coast". Its name came abt because captives were shipped off the coast of Benin, across the Atlantic, in the past. The Voodoo tradition originated from Benin too! it was brought along by the slaves to countries like america, thereby proliferating it to the rest of the world. The voodoo tradition was banned by Benin for a particular period of time, but it was later lifted, and they now celebrate voodoo day! its a cotton producer, but unfortunately, unfair trade deals and unfathomable weather has left the already impoverished country to be one of the poorest in the world.

Bhutan is located in the Southern part of Asia. It remained enclosed from the outside world for centuries! it is to the extent that Television did not arrive in Bhutan until 1999. For years, the country pursued a policy of isolation, fearing that outside influences would undermine its monarchy and culture. The 1st daily newspaper only just arrived in Bhutan in October this yr! (2008). To my surprise, the current monarch,Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck , is a graduate from Oxford University!

Heres a test: Which is the smallest independent state in the world?
It is Vatican! i honestly didnt know abt this. haha forgive my lack of GK. It is only 0.44 sq km and consists of mainly priests and nuns, and hence, population is only at 900 heads. Its main exports are Postage stamps, publications, tourist souvenirs! it is surrounded by Italian captial Rome.

okay. thats all for today. i'm off to my detective show! =D
